What we do and do not do

What we are

Consumer Solar Audit provides independent forensic document review of residential solar transactions. We read documents and report what they say.

What we are not

We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, do not practise law, and do not represent anyone before any court or agency. Nothing on this site and nothing in a report creates an attorney–client relationship.

We are not a debt settlement service, a credit repair organisation, a lender, a contractor, or a tax advisor. We do not negotiate, settle, or cancel any contract on anyone's behalf.

What we will never do

We will never advise you to stop making payments on any loan. Non-payment converts a documented dispute into a default and removes your strongest position.

Attorney introductions

Where a review identifies issues warranting legal review, we introduce clients to independent attorneys licensed in their state. We receive no compensation from any attorney for any introduction, and we pay none. The choice of counsel is yours.

No promised outcome

We make no representation about the result of any review, any negotiation, any complaint, or any legal proceeding. A review may conclude that there is nothing worth pursuing, and we will tell you so plainly.

Accuracy

Our reports trace every figure to a source document and identify anything we could not verify as unverified. We do not estimate a figure and present it as a finding. Statutes, tariffs and public records change; a report reflects the record as at its issue date.
