Terms of Service
These terms cover this website and the services of Consumer Solar Audit. Consumer Solar Audit services are provided and billed by Anthony Young Consulting LLC. When you hire us for paid work, you also sign an engagement agreement. If the two ever differ, the signed engagement agreement controls.
1. What we are, and what we are not
Consumer Solar Audit is an independent document review service. We read residential solar contracts, financing documents and utility bills, and we write a report of what the documents say.
We are not a law firm. We do not give legal advice and we do not represent you. We do not cancel, settle or negotiate any contract or loan. We do not contact your lender for you. We never tell anyone to stop paying a loan. We do not promise any outcome. Using this website or our services does not create an attorney-client relationship.
2. Our services and prices
Rapid Review — $0. After a short document review, we write you a 1–2 page letter with one of three outcomes: there is nothing here; it is worth a full audit, and here is why; or see a lawyer now. No fee is ever charged for the Rapid Review.
Forensic Contract Audit — $2,995. One price. It is never discounted and has no tiers. The deliverables are listed on our home page and in your engagement agreement. The fee is for the work, not for any result. If the honest result is that we found nothing, you receive a full written "nothing here" report.
We take no fee from any attorney, ever.
3. Payment
Payment is by card or bank transfer through our payment processor, or by a payment plan with no interest and no fees. We do not store your full card or bank account number. Charges appear on your statement as CONSUMER SOLAR AUDIT.
4. Cancellation, refunds and our guarantee
You have a 3-business-day right to cancel under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule (16 CFR Part 429). Our Delivery Guarantee:
Your report is in your hands within 15 business days of the day we receive your complete documents. If it is late by a single day, you pay nothing and keep the report. If any factual finding in it is wrong, we correct it and reissue within 5 business days, or refund you in full — your choice.

5. Your part
Our report depends on the documents and information you give us. Please send complete, accurate copies. Please remove Social Security numbers and full bank account numbers before sending; we do not need them.
6. Referrals to attorneys
If our findings raise questions a lawyer should look at, we may suggest you speak with an independent licensed attorney in your state. You choose whether to contact them and you hire them directly. We receive nothing for any referral and pay nothing for one.
7. Messages from us
If you give us your phone number and agree, we may contact you by phone, text or email about your review. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to any text, or email us, to opt out.
8. Information on this website
Statistics on this website come from the public sources named next to them. They describe the market, not your contract. Rights, deadlines and remedies vary by state and by the facts of each contract.
9. Your report
The report we deliver is yours to keep and to share with anyone you choose, including a lawyer or a family member.
10. Limits
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any service is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law, including your right to cancel.
11. Changes and contact
